Tuition & Fees 2009–2010

We commend you for seeking Christian education for your children. We, as you do, desire to be good stewards of God's finances. This schedule of tuition and fees has been carefully developed to enable the school's mission to continue.

Westminster Academy® is a Christ-centered, biblically-based college preparatory school dedicated to equipping covenant students to excel by using their gifts and talents for God's glory.

Explanation of Tuition and Fees

New student application fee: $100.00 per student. This fee covers all processing, testing, and other expenses incurred in the application process. It must be submitted with the application. It is non-refundable.

New student registration fee: $400.00 per student. It is non-refundable.

New student capital fee: $500.00 per student. This includes a one-time fee for new students entering grades 1-12. It is non-refundable.

Current student registration fee: $400.00 per student at the time of registration. Or, it may be paid in two installments of $210.00. The second installment will be billed. It is non-refundable.

Tuition: The full amount is due on June 1st. Or, our 12 payment installment plan is available through the FACTS Tuition Management Program. *Please review additional tution payment information inside.

Grade Level Fees

The grade level fees will be paid in the same manner as your tuition payment plan (annually or monthly). These items are included in the grade level fees: PTF dues, security, student ID cards, yearbook, some field trips, consumable materials, course or lab fees, graduation fees. The amount will vary according to grade level.

Other Miscellaneous Fees

These miscellaneous fees will be billed separately during the school year as they apply to individual students.

  • Athletic Fees: $70.00 per sport. This provides for athletic insurance as well as athletic medicine services.
  • CASA: $70.00 per week. After school care is available for full day students in preprimary through 5th grade. Arrangements can be made through the elementary school office.
  • Hang Time: $70.00 per week. After school program available for 5th-8th grade students. Arrangements can be made through the middle school office.
  • Directed Study: $200.00/quarter (grades 6-12). This fee is for special needs assistance.
  • Miscellaneous School Services: Amounts will vary. (Lost books, lunches, instrument rental, parking, dual enrollment, etc.)
  • Textbooks: Textbooks for Upper School students (grades 6-12) will be purchased by the students for each class and are available through Classbooks.com.

Tuition Payment Plans

  • Full payment annually: Full tuition and grade level fees are due by June 1st.
  • 12 monthly payments: This plan distributes the tuition and grade level fees over 12 monthly payments processed by electronic funds transfer through the FACTS Tuition Management Program. The initial set-up fee for this service is $41.00 per family and will be automatically processed through electronic transfer within two weeks of enrolling. The 1st installment begins in June and payment continues through May. Either May 20 or June 5 may be selected for the date of commencement. Your student is not enrolled until you have established your FACTS account through our business office.

If you apply for admission any time after June, (when our 12 payment installment plan has begun) you will be required to pay any tuition due prior to admittance.

Financial Responsibility

Once the enrollment contract has been signed and the 1st installment of the registration fee has been paid, the family is obligated to pay the full tuition and applicable fees for the entire academic year even if the student is voluntarily withdrawn or dismissed from the school. Records will not be forwarded to another school until all financial obligations have been satisfied.

CRPC Discount

Members in good standing at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church may receive tuition assistance up to $2,000 per student for their children who are fully enrolled or $1,200 per student who are enrolled part-time at Westminster Academy®. Applications are available at the church reception desk.

Multiple Student Discount

Westminster provides a tuition discount to families with more than one child simultaneously attending in grades K-12. The discount is 5% for each additional student.

Other Options

Annual Fund and Headmaster's Council: A family desiring to contribute to the Annual Fund or join the Headmaster's Council may arrange for their contribution to be paid through FACTS installment plan.

Missed Payment

Any missed payment will automatically be reattempted on the next two payment dates (5th and 20th of the month). FACTS will send a letter advising of the missed payment. A $25/attempt fee will be charged by FACTS in addition to any fees that may be charged by your bank.

Accounts with a past due balance are subject to a monthly finance charge of 1.5% of the unpaid balance after three unsuccessful attempts to collect the monthly payment.

Families whose accounts have unpaid balances over 30 days will be required to meet with the Business Office. Families whose accounts have unpaid balances over 60 days could be suspended from attending classes until a satisfactory payment plan has been arranged.

Financial Assistance Program

The Financial Assistance Program is provided by the School Board of Westminster Academy to Christian families that demonstrate a genuine financial need in their pursuit of Christian schooling for their children at the level of kindergarten and above. The program reflects the deep conviction of Westminster Academy that Christian schooling is essential for all Christian children.

It is funded through the gifts and donations to our Financial Assistance Fund. Westminster's program reflects its commitment to making Christian schooling affordable. No applicants shall be denied the benefits of this program on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, or handicap.
