2013 Summer Sports Camps

WA Softball Camp

Westminster Academy's summer Softball Camp offers excellent instruction in a safe, fun, and competitive environment. The camp is located at our state-of-the art Athletic Complex.

The camp will cover the following areas:

  • Proper Throwing Mechanics
  • Fielding
  • Hitting (including the short game)
  • Pitching and Catching
  • Base Running (leads, jumps, and angles)
  • Position Work (infield and outfield)

Dates: June 10 through June 14 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)

WA Basketball Camp

The Westminster Academy's Basketball Camp's goal is to elevate every athlete's game while at the same time having fun doing it.

The camp will cover games and competitions in addition to the following skills and drills:

  • The Mikan Series
  • Shooting Technique
  • Ball Handling
  • Cutting Concepts
  • Proper Defensive Stance/Footwork
  • Rebounding
  • Explosiveness Drills

Open to Boys and Girls (Ages 6–14)
Session I Dates: May 28 through May 31
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $195.00

WA Baseball Camp

Westminster Academy's summer Baseball Camp offers excellent instruction in a safe, fun, and competitive environment to players of all ages and ability levels.

The camp will cover the following areas:

  • Hitting (rotational vs. linear)
  • Fielding (footwork, arm action)
  • Pitching (full mechanical analysis)
  • Base Running (leads, jumps, angles)
  • Conditional/Strength Training
  • Injury Prevention/Arm Care

Open to Ages 5-14
Session I: June 10 through June 14

WA Sculling Camp

Westminster Academy's Summer Sculling Camp offers only five spots per session. This creates one-on-one coaching in a safe, fun, and competitive environment to rowers of all ages and ability levels.

Sessions will conist of:

  • Rowing Drills
  • Proper Technique
  • Lectures on the Sport of Rowing
  • Video of self to analyze improvement

Sculing Camp Information

Open to Rising 9th grade to College Students
Session 1: May 28 through May 31 (7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Session 2: May 28 through May 31 (1:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)*
Session 3: June 10 through June 13 (7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Session 4: June 10 through June 13 (1:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)*

Cost: $200 per camp
Sibling Discount: $350 for two campers

Daily Snack and T-shirt Provided

AC Milan Soccer Camp

Each camp will be hosted by at least two AC Milan certified coaches coming directly from Milan, Italy. The camp curriculum has been specially designed for each age group by AC Milan's expert coaches and doctors.

The camp will cover the following areas:

  • Technical and tactical skills
  • Small-sided games
