WA Parent Symposiums

At Westminster Academy, we are pleased to offer our parents special Parent Symposiums to inform our school community on a variety of topics. Since the 2011-2012 school year, two Parent Symposiums have been held, one on the theology that WA is built upon, and one on conflict resolution.

Westminster Academy’s Theological Foundation

On Monday, September 19, an informative symposium was held about the biblical and theological worldview of Westminster Academy. Together we learned the doctrinal beliefs that our students are taught in Bible class and throughout our curriculum. Guests enjoyed our panel of faculty and staff, including Dr. Leo Orsino, our headmaster, and Mr. Mike Critch, our upper school principal, as well as upper school Bible faculty.

Conflict Resolution

On Tuesday, November 15, an informative symposium was held with Tony Bartoli. Tony was born with Cerebral Palsy and learned to overcome physical and mental challenges. He will shared with parents his personal testimony and message that is especially relevant to today’s “bully-culture” found in most schools today. Tony also shared his message in a special chapel with our students on November 16. You may hear Tony’s radio interview on “Homeroom” that aired on GraceFM 90.3 FM by using the audio player below.
