All School Convocation, August 16th

We look forward to joining with the entire school community on the first day of school, Monday, August 16, from 8:50 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. in the CRPC sanctuary, to ask for God's blessings on our 40th school year. Please join us for a time of worship with students, parents, faculty and staff. Dr. Orsino will share our new school verse and theme.

Homecoming on the Road!

WA Alumni Head to Boston Saturday, October 16. Join fellow WA alumni as we celebrate
together our alma mater's 40th anniversary on a fall foliage tour! A special rate has been set for WA alumni at the Residence Inn Boston Harbor on Tudor Wharf (to see the hotel please click here) arriving Friday, October 15 and departing Sunday, October 17 (the special rate applies for one, two or three nights). Please call 1.617.242.9000 for the special alumni rate.

The alumni dinner will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Union Oyster House (click here). The cost per person is $50 (the actual cost of the dinner) and can be paid at the dinner.

Weekend options include the Boston Segway Tour, Tour de Boston Bike Tour and Paddle Boston! More information on these activities is to come.

Alumni Luncheons--The Second Tuesday of the Month, Resuming September 14

We hope that you will join us for one or all of our complimentary alumni luncheons that take place from noon-1 p.m at the Coral Ridge Country Club at 3801 Bayview Drive in Fort Lauderdale.

Come Home for Homecoming '10 - Be a Part of the 40-Year Legacy

Join us for our traditional Homecoming Alumni Barbecue under the Friday night lights at 6:30 p.m. on October 22 at the West Campus Athletic Complex (click here for directions). Please tell the ticket taker that you are a proud WA grad and you and your immediate family will enter the Homecoming game for free and enjoy the complimentary barbecue! The game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Please be sure to join us on the football field at halftime for the traditional halftime photo.

Alumni vs. Faculty Flag Football - Saturday, October 23 at 10 AM

Join us for a great morning of competition as the WA alumni take on the faculty for the 2nd Annual Flag Football Game! Last year our alumni defeated the faculty--help us keep the winning tradition alive! The game will be held at the East Campus Athletic Field. Two girls must play at all times. WA's Annual Dinner Auction - Save the Date!  Friday, February 25

In honor of 40 years of providing a Christ-centered foundation for our students, Dr. Ken Wackes, WA headmaster for 31 years, and his wife Ruth will be our guests of honor at our annual dinner auction.  This is the perfect event to attend with fellow graduates, and a great opportunity to see Dr. Wackes, fellowship with the WA community, and go home with some incredible auction items! Are you interested in helping with the auction? Please e-mail Laura Brash '87 Bishop at bishopl@wacad.edu. Go through that closet or visit a vintage shop--it's a 70s-themed auction--groovy!
