Congratulations David King ! In the spring of 2010, the cross country coaching staff challenged athletes regarding summer mileage, encouraging each athlete to set a serious and significant goal. Upon hearing the challenge, then freshman David King set as his goal the ultimate summer challenge -- 1000 miles in the 100 days of summer from May 22 to September 1. We are pleased and proud to report that David has reached his goal, running his 1000th mile on August 31. David was blessed with a completely healthy summer, and by supportive parents and coaches, encouraging him all the way. The freshman who ran fifth or sixth on the 2009 team, becomes the sophomore who challenges for the team lead. Congratulations David. We are all proud of you.
