Middle School Swimming/Diving

Westminster Academy® student-athletes are encouraged to always keep the various elements of their school experience in perspective. Christ-like qualities and academics are first priority; however, we strongly encourage participation in co-curricular activities as we pursue to excel and succeed in all that we do. We make no apologies for playing to win. In doing so, we strive to model a humble and thankful spirit in victory and a gracious and respectful spirit in defeat. The key to our success in this regard is that our coaching staff must set a good example. Our coaches make every effort to instill biblical principles, including core values of honesty, integrity, and respect for others. We believe that these aspects of athletics are paramount in the learning process, and that when the game is over, our athletes have given the most of themselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The late John Wooden brilliantly defined success as “…the piece of mind that is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best to become the person you are capable of becoming." The outcome of the game follows as a matter of course.
